Mullah Abdul Ghani Brahimi arrived in Dubai for talks
Doha: Deputy Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Brahim arrived in Doha’s capital to negotiate with the US.
According to the American newspaper, the Afghan Taliban delegation headed by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar will attend talks starting Monday. It is still the highest level meeting between the Afghan Taliban and US officials.
It is believed that the Afghan government has kept away since the talks between the Afghan Taliban and the US officials because the Afghan Taliban is not willing to talk to their government.
However, the American authorities say that after the final agreement, the Taliban will have to talk to the Afghan government and officially declare the ceasefire.
US delegation will be led by US representative special for Afghanistan, Khalil Khalil, in talks.
It was believed that on January 27, 2019, the agreement between the Afghan Taliban and the United States ended the last 17 years of Afghan war ending in Doha.
The agreement between the US and Afghan Taliban was agreed to withdraw foreign troops from Afghanistan within 18 months.
It was agreed that the schedule of warfare will be fixed in the next few days, but the Taliban will talk directly to the Afghan government after the war.
